Friends of New Hampshire Drug Courts (FNHDC) is pleased to announce a $15,000 grant from the Northeast Delta Dental Foundation to fund dental care for drug court participants across New Hampshire.

For many people in recovery, dental health is one of the most visible consequences of addiction. Years of substance use can cause serious dental deterioration, leaving participants without the healthy smile they need to rebuild their confidence, secure employment, and fully reintegrate into their communities. This grant will help FNHDC address that gap directly, funding dentures and other critical dental treatment for participants who could not otherwise afford care.

"Dental care is often the last thing people think about when they think about recovery support, but for our participants, it can be life-changing," said Tony Naro, President of Friends of NH Drug Courts. "We are incredibly grateful to the Northeast Delta Dental Foundation for this investment in the dignity and future of New Hampshire drug court participants."

The Northeast Delta Dental Foundation has long been a champion of oral health access across the region. FNHDC is honored to count Northeast Delta Dental President & CEO Thomas Raffio among its supporters — a relationship that reflects a shared belief that everyone deserves the chance to heal with dignity. In recognition of his commitment to oral health and the FNHDC mission, FNHDC will present Mr. Raffio with the inaugural Bob Gasser Hope Award at its Annual Meeting on May 21, 2026.

Since 2015, FNHDC has distributed more than $500,000 in direct assistance to drug court participants statewide, helping remove the financial barriers that can derail recovery. Dental care joins transportation, housing, job training, and other essential needs the organization works to address each year.
